Longhorns add fifth member to 2011-12 basketball recruiting class

14 April, 2011

Rick Barnes announced Thursday that forward Kevin Thomas (Ajax, Ontario, Canada) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball Texas. With the addition, the Longhorns have a five-man incoming freshmen class that includes guards Myck Kabongo, Julien Lewis and Sheldon McClellan along with forward Jonathan Holmes.

Thomas (6-7, 200), a forward from Christian Faith Center Academy (Creedmoor, N.C.), averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks per game during his senior season.

If Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph stay for next season, the Longhorns will represent Canada very well with four players from Ontario.
