Stockton lacrosse falls 11-7 to Kean University
Kean Univerity’s Todd Petrone scored five goals and teammate Richard Cheifitz added three as the Cougars’ men’s lacrosse team beat visiting Richard Stockton 11-7 on Tuesday in Union.
Kean is now 8-5 overall and 3-2 in the Skyline Conference, while Stockton fell to 3-10 and 2-3.
Stockton led 4-3 in the second quarter, and tied it at 6-6 and 7-7 in the second half, but Petrone scored twice as the Cougars had the last four goals. Goalie Lane Zierten made 12 saves for the winners. For the Ospreys, Matt Bologno led with three goals, while Chris Ordiway added two goals and one assist and Drew Flagler had a goal and an assist. Stockton goalie Tim Wolcott had 10 saves.
